Canada orders Christian ministry shut down

The Canadian government has ordered a Christian ministry that teaches doctrine and the differences between Christians and cults shut down because its reference materials were “critical” of the beliefs of those who are not Christian, WND has learned.So what used to be called MacGregor Ministries with offerings in how to recognize and eliminate “faulty fads” in Christian churches has been re-created in the United States, and now operates under the name MM Outreach Media Ministries.

Lorri MacGregor, who has dedicated her life to explaining the straight and narrow of Christian beliefs since she found her way out of the Jehovah’s Witness system years ago, told WND Canada’s version of a “hate crimes” law prevented their work from continuing as it had for nearly 30 years. …

Lawmaker Threatened for Comparing Gay Lifestyle to Terrorism

An Oklahoma lawmaker has received thousands of hostile e-mails and voice messages that included death threats for speaking out about homosexuality and labeling it a bigger threat to America than terrorism or Islam.”I’m not anti, I’m not gay bashing but according to God’s word, that is not the right kind of lifestyle,” said State Rep. Sally Kern at a Republican event in January.

Her comments generated national attention after pro-homosexual group Gay and Lesbian Victory Fund posted the recording on YouTube earlier this week. As of Friday afternoon, the posting had close to 900,000 views. …

Germany opens door for Islam at schools

BERLIN - State-run schools in Germany should offer Islam as a required religion class in the future, the nation’s interior minister said Thursday.Interior Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble said it would be a while before Muslim community leaders work out a legally binding accord with the government, but that an agreement on the issue has been reached.

Now, the Catholic Church says pollution, mind-damaging drugs and genetic experiments are on its updated thou-shalt-not list.Also receiving fresh attention by the Vatican was social injustice, along the lines of the age-old maxim: “The rich get richer while the poor get poorer.”

Booklet issues warning about ‘Christian values’

Education ministers in the United Kingdom evaluating sex education programs have produced a new booklet for school children that warns Christian values should not be taught in schools, and sex education classes should teach only “how to,” not “whether to.”Now it’s coming under criticism from those who say the material borders on propaganda and is completely inappropriate for schools to provide, according to a report in the Daily Mail.
